It takes a lot of time to come up with a new product and once you make your idea a reality, the work does not stop. Promoting your product is the next step. Your product or service could be the best new thing since sliced bread, but if you don't promote it, it could fail and lose you money.

  1. Exclusive previews

Your existing customers are likely to buy or even promote your new product. You could offer your product or service to them ahead of launch time, kind of like an exclusive offer to your VIPs.

 

  1. Introductory offers

Instead of just announcing your product, you can make it available as an introductory offer. The introductory offer can be:

  • Discounted pricing.
  • Bundle
  • Voucher or coupon with purchase.
  • Buy one get one free.
  • Extra points if you have a loyalty program.

Whatever you choose, make sure your customers know this is a limited-time offer to create a sense of urgency.

 

  1. Google My Business promotions

There are a lot of ways you can promote your new product with a Google Business Profile.

The first is a Google My Business post.

When in your GMB dashboard, navigate to the Posts tab. From there you can create an “Offer” or a “What’s new” post.

 

If you are announcing the new product, you should go with a “What’s new” post. If you are running a special introductory deal, an “Offer” post is ideal.

Whichever post type you use, make sure to include a picture and a call to action to most effectively promote the product.

You can also promote your new product by uploading photos of it and adding it as a new item in your Products/Services tab.

 

  1. Contests and giveaways

The easiest way to connect with your customers is by social media.  Facebook contests get an average of 34% new customers per campaign.

The winners of your Facebook giveaway should get to be the first to get their hands on your new offering and get it for free or at a discount

Announce your content across all of your social media channels, your website, newsletter, and even paid ads.

The increased engagement with your social media account will bring more visitors to your website and introduce your business to new customers.

 

  1. Email marketing

Email is a great channel for letting people know about your new product. You can run an email campaign about your new product as a single email or even as a series of emails.

  • Focus on the benefits your product brings to customers.
  • Highlight the offer in your subject line
  • Use preheader text to increase open rates

 

  1. Blog posts

If you don’t have a landing page for customers or subscribers to go to, having a blog post about your new product is awesome. Make sure to highlight its details, features, and benefits you would otherwise include on a landing page. You can share the link to the blog post via your email or social media.

If you do have a landing page, a blog post is a great way of getting the word out about your new product.

Let your customers promote your new product for you. If you take advantage of some of the ideas like offering a free trial, you can ask them to write an online review.

Reviews and testimonials will be great when launching the product out to your audience.

Facebook ads are useful because the personalized data provided through users’ profiles make for great targeting. You can factor in gender, age, location, interests, marital status, profession, and more. There are also several options for ad type, budget, and duration of the campaign.
